The purpose of this study was to clarify the standardization and validity of our Screening Tests, the 'NMHI' and 'NACL'. The 'NACL' is a method administered individually or in a group, which has been employed as measures of personal adjustments, and composed of 174 adjectives expressing characteristic traits. The adjectives were divided into three classes of 'Favorable', 'Unfavorable' and 'Neutral'. As the standardization of the 'NACL' for male students has been already reported, the criterion of the 'NACL' for female students was dealt with in this paper. Subjects were 640 female students attending three universities in Nagoya City. The data obtained were analized concerning to 'sex', 'grade', 'school' and 'course'. The findings were as follows. 1. There were some differences between the freshmen and sophomores, and among several universities in Nagoya City about the mean number of choices and the percentage of 'F' and 'U' choices. 2. As to choice-percentage of each item, there were some differeces between males and females, between the freshmen and sophomores, and among universities in Nagoya City. 3. From the above results, we feel the necessity of further investigation on the standardization and validity of the 'NACL' for the female students.
