Many psychologists have used "Finger Painting" as a method of personality diagnosis, but we used it as one of materials in play therapy. During 14 sessions, our child, aged 6 years, (female, School Mutism) showed marked change in the manner of painting; she became to play with paint after 9 sessions, while she previously used the material to drow concrete objects. We discussed the development of "Finger Painting" in terms of therapeutic stage rated by the therapist.
