While most of the Jomon potteries were made by the ring building method, some of them were manufactured by the plastering clay inside the baskets. They show the marks of the imprints of their textures. This type of pottery was characterized by the Latest Jomon Period in Kyushu. The excavation of the Kaminabe Site in Kumamoto City yielded 25 speciments. Their imprints marks are the baskets (7), the knitted clothes (4), and nets (14). The usage of the knitted clothes and nets on the baskets was probably to separate them from the baskets easily.
