A microwave interferometer with 5 aerials was completed on 6 May, 1953. The performance of the equipment is almost satisfactory as we have expected. The maximum antenna temperature due to solar noise is about 190°K when the sun is quiet. The apparent fluctuations are around 5°K for the time constant of 1 sec. Details of the equipment are given in this paper. We started observations on 24 March,prior to the completion of the equipment,utilizing the radiometer at 3,750 Mc. The quiet solar radiation is the chief interest in this period. The existence of“limb-brightening" may be concluded as is related in other pages. The record of the daily observations are also summerized in this paper.
