The interferometer with 5 aerials will be reconstructed into 8-element interferometer with quarter-wavelength plates, in spring, 1954. Main lobes will then have the widths of 4.5' and the spacings of 40'. The adjustment of gain and phase in the aerial system has been made more accurately by altering some magic tees into bends, so as to obtain sufficient deflections on the recorder.
