PHASE ADJUSTMENT OF THE IMPROVED λ 8-cm RADIOHELIOGRAPH AT TOYOKAWA

The phase stability of the improved λ 8-cm radioheliograph at Toyokawa was measured. For this purpose and phase adjustment a real time phase error detector was developed. The detector can measure phase errors of N-S 16-element array within a few minutes with an accuracy of 0.5°. From the results of this measurement, it was made clear that the phase stability of 5° rms is attainable for 16-element array in the improved system.
