Joel Mokyr has made one of the most important achievements of rethinking the Industrial Revolution since the 21st century. Considering today's information society, Mokyr's knowledge economy theory is now more significant. However, knowledge cannot be represented by quantity only. Mokyr constructs his discussions while focusing on the relevance of society and people. For this reason, some of the issues in Chapter 2 are highlighted. The purpose of this paper is to provide an overview of Mokyr's knowledge economy theory and indicate the problems of his theory.
