The Effect of Surgery on Antibody Production ICHIHASHI, HIDEHITO KONDO, TATSUHEI open access The effect of operative procedure on the antibody response produced by the injection of diphtheria toxoid has been studied on 30 Moloney-negative patients. Impairment of antibody production was observed in patients with malignant diseases as for the result of surgery. No clear relation was noted between the antibody response and the nutritional status.
