A power of community has been emphasized in raising child recently. In this paper, we aim to reveal the relation among activities by adults intending to promote youth-rearing, collective efficacy, children's interaction with community resident, benefit of the community, attachment to the community, and prosocial behavior. The responses of 3018 junior high school students and 545 teachers were used in the analysis. The results implicated that collective efficacy within neighborhoods enhanced the attachment of the children to the community mediating the benefits of the community, and promoted prosocial behavior. Interaction with community residents also predicted the benefits and attachment. However, activities by adults intending to promote youth-rearing scarcely related variables in this study. The benefits of the community were considered to be a key factor in enhancing children's prosocial behavior.
