1.直接変調時のコヒ-レント時間を測定し、400Mb/s程度以上の変調速度では、直流バイアス電流に依らず80psec〜100psecであることを示した。 2.時間分解分光法による測定を行い、分布帰還型半導体レ-ザ(DFB LD)は数Gb/s程度の高速直接変調時にも単一モ-ド発振していることを明らかにした。これにより、モ-ド分配定数k値による動特性評価、レ-ト方程式モデルによるモ-ド分配雑音の計算機シミュレ-ションが有効であることを示した。 3.インコヒ-レント反射戻り光によって誘起されるモ一ド分配雑音を測定し、LDの直流バイアス電流が閾値以上に設定されているとモ-ド分配雑音が増加することを初めて見出した。計算機シミュレ-ションにより雑音発生機構を検討した結果、反射光がLDチップ内に戻って干渉し、主モ-ドの発振閾値がランダムに変調されるために生ずることを明らかにした。このことを利用して、DFB LD 単体評価、及び光アイソレ-タの所要アイソレ-ションの豊量化が可能となった。 4.コヒ-レント反射戻り光の振幅と位相を精密に制御する実験系を確立した。また、その系を用いて直接変調DFB LDの発振スペクトルの観測を行い、反射戻り光によって短波長成分が盛り上がるのを見出した。本測定、及び計算機シミュレ-ションは現在も進行中である。","subitem_description_language":"ja","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_19_description_5":{"attribute_name":"内容記述","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_description":"科学研究費補助金
