These ages are coincident with that of the regression in Wurm glacial age. These is no evidence of large-scaled crustal movement in this area after the postglacial age. Therefore, these stalactite caves may have been formed on the coast during regression stage of the glacial age. 内容記述 ^<14>C ages of 18 samples recovered from the sea-floor off Yonaguni-jima and offOkinawa-jima were measured by Tandetron Accelerator Mass Spectrometry of Dating and Materials Research Center in Nagoya University. ^<14>C ages reveal that this area may have been submerged by eustatic rise of seawater during the postglacial stage.
