The δ^<13>C values of annual rings from 1936 to 1987 were measured in the all five samples. There was little spatial δ^<13>C variation of annual rings within a radius of 15km in the present study area, since the correlation coefficients in interzonal comparison (r=0.52 to 0.77) were identical with those of the individual variations in one forest (r=0.40 to 0.75). This result suggested that the δ^<13>C values of annual rings were mainly influenced by the extensive environmental factors at least 30km. The δ^<13>C fluctuations of annual rings from the secular trends and ring-width indices were compared with the monthly meteorological data, i.e., temperature, precipitation, number of precipitation days and sunshine duration. As resuls, the δ^<13>C chronology showed the best correlation with sunshine duration (positive, r=0.36) and number of precipitation days (negative, r=-0.32) in early summer, and the ring-width indices showed the best correlation with temperature in early spring (positive, r=0.25), precipitation in early summer (negative, r=-0.30) and sunshine duration in previous winter (positive, r=0.26). Subsequently, fluctuation of precipitation and number of precipitation days in early summer (May-June), whih showed high correlation with both δ^<13>C and ring-width indices, were reconstructed for the interval of 1727-1994 from the two chronologies of tree-ring data using multiple regression analysis. The estimated chronologies of the climate factors matched with the observed data in secular trends except for the interval of 1950-70's, in which annual rings of the samples were probably trongly affected by nonclimatic environmental factors such as air pollution., タンデトロン加速器質量分析計業績報告 Summaries of Researches Using AMS 2000 (平成12)年度}, pages = {193--204}, title = {琵琶湖南岸地域のヒノキ年輪データによる気候変動再現の試み}, volume = {12}, year = {2001} }
