 note = {^<14>C ages of Tuguru-hama ruins and beach rocks in Yonaguni Island, Okinawa Prefecture were dated using with shell and coral fragments collected from the sites. The ^<14>C age of the shell recovered from Tuguru-hama ruins shows 4,410 cal BP. This age represents that the Tuguru-hama ruins was constructed at about 4,500 years ago, and it is oldest ruins in Sakishima (Southwest Ryukyus) area.
