The excavation revealed that six circular structures had been existed. In addition, it seems that the circle structure had frequently been reconstructed at nearby location because the individual circles over lap each other. The construction period of the circle has been estimated to be latest Jomon period based on the study of excavated pottery type and dated to be in the range from ca. 900 to 400 calBC by radiocarbon dating of poles constituting the circle. However, the calibrated dates are normally spreading because the shape of IntCal04 calibration curve around this period is unfortunately so flat. Therefore, little is known about precise period of constructing the circular structures. The aim of this paper is to introduce a precise construction period of the wooden circular structures at the Mawaki site, by using a wiggle matching technique. The result indicated that the construction period was confined to around 810-670 calBC., 第20回名古屋大学年代測定総合研究センターシンポジウム平成19(2007)年度報告<第2部> Proceedings of the 20th symposiumon on Chronological Studies at the Nagoya University Center for Chronological Research in 2007 日時:平成20 (2008)年1月10日(木)~11日(金) 会場:名古屋大学野依記念学術交流館 Date:January10th-11th, 2008 Venue:Nagoya Uhiversity Noyori Conference Hall}, pages = {85--89}, title = {^<14>C年代測定による石川県真脇遺跡出土環状木柱列の年代決定(第20回名古屋大学年代測定総合研究センターシンポジウム平成19(2007)年度報告)}, volume = {19}, year = {2008} }
