 note = {The color mutant (lf) was found and established in the medaka (Oryzias latipes). Visible leucophores did not appear throughout life in this mutant. The lf gene is autosomal and recessive. The lf alleles did not link with other alleles used in this experiment. In test crosses, the lf gene was epistatic for other genes concerning the expression of leucophores.},
