It has been shown that school counselors assist the students mainly by means of counseling but teachers do this mainly as a team intervention. It has been also shown that many teachers in charge of student counseling services in high schools have little actual counseling experience, expertise and authority. However, the school teachers with many years of experience have enough expertise in playing their roles as coordinators. In conclusion, in order to achieve effective team intervention involving school counselors, the teachers in charge of student counseling services(coordinators) should play key roles. In fact, the teachers are required to assess the cases at early stages, have some knowledge of professional institutions outside schools, and have enough expertise and authority to give directions for sharing roles by each member of the team.
