Participants were 148 university students. They were randomly assigned to one of four conditions: acceptance, positive events, rejection, and negative events. Experimental conditions were induced by a priming of condition- relevant events. After the induction, they answered feeling of rejection, self-esteem, mood states, and decision-making in a relationship-formation situation. The results showed that the experimental manipulations failed and no variables were varied with conditions. However, the feeling of rejection predicted low self-esteem, which in turn predicted the relationship-formation behavior. This showed that interpersonal rejection undermined relationship-formation behaviors through lack of self-esteem. The findings are discussed in terms of negative effects of interpersonal rejection.}, pages = {65--71}, title = {他者からの拒絶が関係形成行動に及ぼす影響}, volume = {56}, year = {2009} }
