We survey how they evaluate the technical education they had, especially the contents of technical subjects that they studied in technical high school. Moreover, we try to obtain basic data for curriculums for technical high school that could make students cherish clear sense of purpose in highly technical specialty. This year, we made a survey of Osaka Municipal Miyakojima Technical Senior High School graduates. This is a school in Osaka with a long and glorious history and besides has borne the characteristics of "theory combined with experiment" education since the prewar days. It has an established alumni association, "Naniwakougyoukai". We have surveyed the graduates from the six courses of machine, electricity, industrial chemistry, architecture, civil engineering, and mechanics & electronics in the years of 1960,1964,1969,1973,1978,1982,1986,1988. The total number of the samples is 2101. 435 people, 20.7% of all the samples, replied to our survey. The main facts our survey shows are as follows : (1) About 90% of the repliers got employment immediately after graduation from technical high school; about 10% after graduation from college. (2) As regards the kinds of work, technical desk work is the most popular; 65%∿72%. (3) Concerning the relation between contents of their work and their major in technical high school, more than 80% got some employment relative to the technical education they had. (4) Technical subjects are evaluated to be useful for technical work. Especially "basic knowledge of the theory studying in technical subjects", "practical and technical knowledge studying in technical subjects", "skill and technical knowledge learning (mastering) in drawing subjects" and "skill learning in practice" are highly evaluated. However, different courses produce rather different evaluations. (5) The technical education in technical high school has some effects on the repliers' social life, such as ability to make up technical images in relative fields easily. (6) As to technical education in the future, the repliers think that on curriculum, "technical education should be more substantial", and on technical subjects, "experiment and practice learning through experience, ability to solve problems by project studies, and information technology should be laid more stress upon." On the whole, we can conclude that the technical education there is evaluated highly by the graduates engaged in the industries., 国立情報学研究所で電子化したコンテンツを使用している。}, pages = {67--81}, title = {高校工業教育に対する工業に従事している卒業者による評価 : 大阪市立都島工業高等学校の事例}, volume = {15}, year = {2002} }
