Seventy-six undergraduates (28 students with rival, 48 without rival) were asked to describe their views of rival and those of rival relation. First, descriptions of 455 views of rival were classified for 21 categories. A quantification method of the third type revealed three axes for view of rival : "cooperation-competition", "friendly-enemy", and "type of a good match-type of an old enemy". The findings clarified that the axis affected by whether one had rival or not was "friendly-enemy" and subjects with the rival had view of rival that rival was friendly. A common criterion of cognition of rival relation was "equality of ability" Second, their 155 descriptions of rival relation revealed three clusters as a model of rival relation : "a relation for taking a leading part to have a match", "a relation like cat and dog", and "a relation to compete with both officially and privately". A cluster "a relation like cat and dog" represented that competition and enmity were important, but it wasn't much clear on real rival image, 国立情報学研究所で電子化したコンテンツを使用している。}, pages = {197--204}, title = {ライバル関係の認知の基準 : 大学生の自由記述の分析から}, volume = {47}, year = {2000} }
