The purpose of this study was to examine reports of "ego-experiences" by children. Study 1 is a longitudinal study of 5th to 7th-grades (N=13) who participated in individual semi-structured interviews stimulated by a questionnaire (Amaya, 2000). Results indicated that 5 out of 8 participants reporting "ego-experiences" in Amaya 2000 reported "ego-experiences" in the new study as well. 9 participants remained in the same categories. Study 2 covered 4th to 7th-graders (N=30), some of whom had participated in study 1.12 participants reported on their "ego-experiences."
