Integral counts in a unit solid angle were calculated in a polar coordinate system with an origin at the center of the left ventricle, instead of short axis-slices being plotted on a maximum count per pixel basis. With the integration of the counts, consequences from apparent spread of the distribution in SPECT, due to respiratory excursions and contracting motions of the heart could be minimized.
