 note = {Magnetization transfer ratios (MTRs) and DNA index of nasopharyngeal tumor were measured in 5 patients using a conventional 1.5 T MR system. The MTRs were calculated using a pair of images; one image was obtained with a MT-saturating-pulse on, and the other with the saturating-pulse off. The MTRs were defined as a percentage of the signal intensity between the two images. In the present study, the value of MTRs of aneuploid tumor was larger than those of diploid tumors. These results suggested that the MTRs could make a new indicator for maliginity of the tumors.},
