First I have to fix the biographical dates of Ella Twynam, a biographer of Peter Annet, a deist. The next question is about the authorship of An historical and political discourse of the laws & government of England, which has been as a work of John Selden. A reader of An outline of the Mizuta Library suggested that it might be authored by Nathaniel Bacon. The following is the record of my itinerary in bibliographical investigation to answer the two questions mentioned above. I found the years of Ella Twynam’s birth and death among those of English bibliophile rationalists. I also found that there was a strong personal connection between them and the last owner of the Library. While the authorship of An historical and political discourse of the laws & government of England could attribute to John Selden as far as consulting ESTC, however I could not determine the authorship after I investigated the online catalogues of national libraries such as British Library and Library of Congress, and other reference books. Moreover there was another issue concerning the publication year of some copies of An historical and political discourse of the laws & government of England.
