This paper presents some results from the first trial of numerical description on the relationship developed between the foreman and his men in industry. Each of 571 labors in total from 41 different work groups in 3 different companies was required to respond to the questionnaire which was designed to obtain the following matters. 1. Attitudes toward his belonging company and laboring. 2. Needs concerning to his laboring life, his company, and his foreman. 3. Leadership pattern of his foreman and the degree of satisfaction for it. 4. Attitudes of his foreman toward his men at various stages. 5. His morale.
