This electron event was preceded by an intense injection in the pre-midnight sector (2040 MLT) as evidenced by the cosmic noise absorption in Syowa, Antarctica and enhancement of proton flux (0.8-4.0 MeV) detected by the geosynchronous meteorological satellite, GMS.
