 note = {This paper discussed the analysis using operations research method for the operations management in agriculture. OR in the agricultural sector had been widely applied to a variety of problems including operations management. OR was an effective method for promoting agricultural policies proposed by Japanese government. Regarding simulation method, several simulators had been developed for agriculture, and had been successfully employed for farming plan such as year of profit and cost. However, in order to analyze more sophisticatedly operations management including dynamic and stochastic events such production and distribution, system simulation was required to utilize. In addition, as an application example of OR method in poultry farming, the case with respect to optimal placement method of laying hens using integer programming was described. And it was pointed out that the approach applied in that example could be utilized as the poultry farming simulator.},
