The classification of waveforms was derived and the behaviour of each variety studied in relation to the discharge mechanism of lightning flashes. They are leader stroke type, return streamer type, multiple stroke type and cloud discharge type. It is shown that the waveforms taken in the daytime cannot be explained by the reflexion theory but interpreted with ease by the discharge mechanism.}, pages = {1--11}, title = {THE WAVEFORM OF ATMOSPHERICS IN THE DAYTIME}, volume = {1}, year = {1953} }
