Each aerial has a paraboloidal reflector, 1.5 metre in diameter, mounted on a polar axis. Aerials are placed in E-W direction at 6.45 metre intervals: main lobes have the widths of 4.5' and they are spaced 40' each other. λ/4 plates are mounted ahead of reflectors and can be rotated by a common shaft into a position which permits the reception of only one kind of circularly polarized radiation. Each λ/4 plate is constructed from metallic strips, 1 mm thick and 61 mm wide, and they are spaced 79 mm each other. As the equivalent length for the plane wave parallel to strips is λ/2, the reflection is negligible. To improve the accuracy of measurement, a square-law detector is used and the calibration is made by hot load every day.}, pages = {47--56}, title = {4000MCにおける太陽雑音源探知装置(第4報) : 8エレメント干渉計の完成}, volume = {5}, year = {1954} }
