Data were collected on the basis of unstructured interview to the householders in the so-called "Kaso" (too-thinly-peopled) communities. Comparing householders' responses across two representative districts, Numa-no-Dai (ND; Yamagata Prefecture, North-East in Japan) and Tombara (TB; Shimane Prefecture, South-West in Japan), we could find some differences between them; the identity about their occupations was more stable in ND group than in TB group; ND group had more reliable role-expectancy to their own children than did TB group. We also found that householders perceived it with uncertainty that their children were unwilling to stay in the communities, and that the younger householders (forties or younger) had more diffuse identity about their occupations than did olders. Differences of responses across two districts were discussed from the view point of geographical characteristics, and also socio-cultural one. Discussing the effects of the psychological mechanisms of the decreasing population upon the family relationships, such tendency was suggested that egoism at the individual level, as same as the familial one, was coming in to the open. It is very reasonable to suppose, however, that such "egoism" can become true "individualism" in near future., 国立情報学研究所で電子化したコンテンツを使用している。}, pages = {81--94}, title = {<原著>いわゆる過疎地域の家族関係 (6) : 子どもに対する役割期待について(その 1)山形県大蔵村沼台と島根県頓原町の比較検討}, volume = {19}, year = {1973} }
