The effective positions of charges are respectively 7-10 and 4 6km. high from the ground, and the mean inclination of the axis connecting the two charges is lower than 30°. The main process of a cloud discharge involves a branched positive streamer that proceeds downward with the velocity of the order of 10^6 cm/s.
