 note = {During the IQSY period, 1964 to 1965, the crossing rates were measured in the high range of threshold field strength. Its diurnal variation displayed clear effects of sun-rise and sun-set. The sudden enhancements in the crossing rate, observed in the SID's, occurred in 1965. The behavior of enhancements of crossing rate is explained with relations to the properties of discharges in the source, the wave propagation and the location of the source. The appropriateness of using the data of crossing rates is discussed, compared with the data of the integrated field strength of atmospherics, for the purpose of estimating the change of the attenuation factor of the wave during SEA's.},
