Additional new deta of AMS14C dating and tephra identification were obtained from surface And subsurface samples (Table1 ~ Table4, Fig.1). Combined with the previous research results, it is now inferred that the Azuma Alluvial plain has been developed in the incised valley formed on the Upper Pleistocene deposits (MIS5e~5a). Thickness of the Alluvial deposits are well over 56m in AZK-101core (located in the river mouth), and marine deposits are recognized overlying the upper limit horizon (49.42m:TP-44.24m) of the Younger Dryas Stage deposits. AZK-5-13.50-13.42m tephra is identified as the Aafal(Kt-8) tephra (ca.93ka)., 北海道石狩低地帯の南東縁部の厚真川流域の沖積低地の上部更新統~完新統の層序学的研究(岡ほか,2014)を発展させ,5孔のコア,泥炭主体の3孔コア及び露頭の堆積物のAMS14C年代測定,火山灰対比を行った. MIS5e~5aの堆積層の上位の埋没谷に河口域で沖積層の下部上半~完新統全層が発達し,AZK-101コア沖積層での明瞭な海成層(淡水の流入のある沿岸域の環境下の堆積層)は,ヤンガードリアス期堆積層上限の直上;深度49.42m(TP-44.24m)より上位に認められる.
