During the period of colloquial style from the latter half of the Meiji period to the Taisho period, the time expression in sentences changed significantly. The system that uses auxiliary verbs of time such as Ki-Keri-Tsu-Nu-Tari-Ri has changed from a system that uses a limited form, Ta and Teiru. We thought that observing and describing this transition from grammatical phenomena would capture the framework of time expression in modern literary sentences and describe the process of establishing word-sentence agreement. Therefore, in this paper, as an example of the modern literary style, MORI Ogai "Maihime" was used as a material, and the actual operation of auxiliary verbs at the time was analyzed from the viewpoint of structural differences in sentences and the classification of verbs. As a result, it was clarified that there was a kind of functional division in the auxiliary verb of time due to the structural difference of sentences. In addition, from the viewpoint of the meaning classification of the verbs that the auxiliary verbs of the time at the end of the sentence of the descriptive part accepts, it was clarified that there is a tendency for the auxiliary verbs when they are used depending on the presence or absence of aspect conflict of the verbs. We mentioned the tense and aspect of the auxiliary verb of time. We pointed out that the auxiliary verbs of the time in the Meiji literary style novels may indicate the operation of modern literary languages influenced by the spoken language, rather than following the usage of ancient words.}, pages = {93--108}, title = {明治期文語体小説における時の助動詞 : 森鷗外『舞姫』を例に}, volume = {4}, year = {2021} }
