 note = {Studies indicated that argumentative essays written by Chinese Learners of Japanese tend to be incomprehensible. In order to disentangle the factors contributing to that phenomena, most of the existing literatures mainly pay attention to the constitution or contents of the essays. However, in China there is no genre exactly the same as argumentative essays of Japanese, which I call Japanese argumentative essays. After investigating the genre in China corresponding to Japanese argumentative essays, I find that the incomprehensiveness of argumentative essays written by Chinese learners of Japanese is related to their view of good writing on Chinese argumentative essays.},
