Therefore, focusing on performance-related pay for non-routine skilled workers and an opportunity for higher education, we present a mechanism to generate the polarization of wages. If the opportunity for higher education is limited, then wage distribution is polarized by the prevalence of performance pay. However, wage polarization may vanish in the case where higher education provides high-school graduates with a second chance at success. Our result highlights the important role of higher education in shaping the distribution of wages.","subitem_description_language":"en","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_9_publisher_32":{"attribute_name":"出版者","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"名古屋大学大学院経済学研究科附属国際経済政策研究センター","subitem_publisher_language":"ja"},{"subitem_publisher":"Economic Research Center Graduate School of Economics Nagoya University","subitem_publisher_language":"en"}]},"item_access_right":{"attribute_name":"アクセス権","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_access_right":"open access","subitem_access_right_uri":"http://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Miyazawa, Kazutoshi","creatorNameLang":"en"}]}]},"item_files":{"attribute_name":"ファイル情報","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_access","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2021-09-21"}],"displaytype":"detail","filename":"E21-8.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"402 KB"}],"format":"application/pdf","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"objectType":"fulltext","url":"https://nagoya.repo.nii.ac.jp/record/2001480/files/E21-8.pdf"},"version_id":"4fec8a3b-0b0c-4caa-aa0c-2693c6700138"},{"accessrole":"open_access","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2021-09-21"}],"displaytype":"detail","filename":"commentE21-8.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"190 KB"}],"format":"application/pdf","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"objectType":"fulltext","url":"https://nagoya.repo.nii.ac.jp/record/2001480/files/commentE21-8.pdf"},"version_id":"39941c49-2b70-4225-836a-e29cd08525ba"}]},"item_keyword":{"attribute_name":"キーワード","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_subject":"Wage inequality","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Higher education","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Performance pay","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Skill-biased technical change","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"eng"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"departmental bulletin paper","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"Higher education, performance pay, and the polarization of wages","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"Higher education, performance pay, and the polarization of wages","subitem_title_language":"en"}]},"item_type_id":"40001","owner":"1","path":["1078"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"PubDate","attribute_value":"2021-09-21"},"publish_date":"2021-09-21","publish_status":"0","recid":"2001480","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["Higher education, performance pay, and the polarization of wages"],"weko_creator_id":"1","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2023-01-16T05:15:11.491438+00:00"}
