The concept of Sangyo- Kyoiku nears to English industrial education, but includes from agriculture to fishery departments. Its term after discussion on legislation for the aid system to the secondary vocational education in 1951, following the American vocational education law in 1917. But, the term vocational education (=Shokugyo-Kyoiku) was rejected and politicians and policy planners proposed decided to introduce Sangyo Kyoiku, because the concept of vocational education had the nuance such as a measure and they couldn’t reuse the concept of Jitsugyo-Kyoiku which meant moral ethical term and neared to the English practical and utilitarian education before the Second World War. Of course, there was the term of technical education in Japan too. But, the Japanese academic society of Sangyo-Kyoiku changed the name to Vocational Education (Shokugyo Kyoiku) in 2020. As the results of investigations into formation and changing processes of these concepts, author concludes that researcher need to reposition the technical education in junior schools and further training in enterprises etc. which has objected within Sangyo Kyoiku, and that the vocational education in Japanese high schools and technical colleges don’t provide vocational (occupational), but Sangyo (industrial) education for some sectors.}, pages = {1--17}, title = {日本的職業教育としての産業教育 : 関連諸概念の形成との比較検証}, volume = {18}, year = {2022} }
