For this purpose, the author analyses the meeting records of the National Federation of Educational Association (Quanguo jiaoyuhui lianhehui: 全國教育會聯合會). The school system was introduced with the reference to the Japanese model during the late Qing period. At this time, many intellectuals felt that it was necessary for teacher education to be established. At the beginning of Republican China, the reform of the school system was continuously discussed to meet the demands of the newly emerging Chinese society. The National Federation of Educational Association (NFEA), established in 1915, had an important role in forming educational reform plans during the early Republican China as well as encouraging discussions on the construction of a new school system. In 1922, the eighth meeting of the NFEA resolved to accept a new school system proposal which resulted in the organization of a council for creating overall curriculum standards. This decision further led to the establishment of curriculum standards for elementary and secondary education, although did not include a teacher education system. Thus, the ninth meeting of the NFEA in 1923 took on, as its important goal, the establishment of new teacher education curriculum standards.}, pages = {27--35}, title = {壬戌学制における師範学校カリキュラムの構造}, volume = {69}, year = {2022} }
