METHODS: We retrieved relevant articles by electrical search of MEDLINE and Japana Centra Revuo Medicina (IGAKU CHUO ZASSHI). The numerical values of sensitivity and specificity of each article were extracted and used for the calculation of the likelihood ratio of positive test results (LR+) and the likelihood ratio of negative test results (LR-). RESULTS: Thirty-two articles (MEDLINE, 1966-2001) and 3 articles (IGAKU CHUO ZASSHI, 1987-2001) were identified. Eight articles and 13 test results, measurement techniques of which were available in Japan, were evaluated. They showed relatively high sensitivity (ranged from 0.786 to 1.00, mean 0.61) and specificity (0.71 to 1.00, 0.853). LR+s were moderately large values (3.1 to > 10, 6.1) and LR-s were considerably small ones (0.0 to 0.3, 0.1). CONCLUSIONS: Measuring plasma (1→3)-β-D-glucan is useful strategy for early diagnosis and treatment of deep mycosis because the result of it generates large changes from pretest to posttest probability.}, pages = {59--63}, title = {深在性真菌症に対する(1→3)-β-D-glucan測定の臨床疫学的評価}, volume = {25}, year = {2002} }
