In the "room air group" experiment: after a 18 h fast, glucose (2 g/kg body weight) was administered under room air condition. Blood samples were obtained at rest before glucose administration, and at 30 min intervals during the 120 min OGTT to measure blood glucose and serum insulin concentrations. In the "high CO2 group" experiment: the rats inhaled 5 % CO2 and 21% O2 for 60 min after glucose administration. The experimental protocol was the same as "room air group". During an OGTT, the blood glucose concentrations were significantly lower in high CO2 group than in room air group (60 min: 251 ± 13 vs. 325 ± 24 mg/dl, p< 0.001, 90min: 229 ± 15 vs. 313 ± 15 mg/dl, p<0.001, 120 min: 219 ± 25 vs. 313 ± 25 mg/di, p<0.01). Changes in serum insulin concentration in both groups were not found after glucose load. In conclusion, high CO2 inhalation after glucose administration caused a decrease in blood glucose concentration with no change in serum insulin concentration.}, pages = {25--28}, title = {高CO2吸入が糖負荷後の血糖値に及ぼす影響}, volume = {24}, year = {2001} }
