In the imaginal slalom skier skis in the course set by piste mark imaging the pole setting. The purpose of this study is to investigate the difference between imaginal slalom and actual slalom from the biomechanical view points. Two skiers who experienced Alpine ski racing tried to ski down the experimental slope with actual and imaginal slalom. Movements of the skiers body as well as skis and ski sticks were recorded with cine camera and the obtained image was analyzed kinematically. Stick was planted at the mid point of the poles in the actual slalom while in the imaginal slalom it planted just after passing the piste mark. In both way, however, the stick was planted in the same timing which was just after the maximum phase of the turn. This result indicated that the timing of the turn was different in these two ways of skiing, that is, in the imaginal slalom the switching of the directions of edging and angle of attack was earlier in comparison to those in the actual slalom. The timing of body movements such as displacement of the center of the gravity of the skier's body or flection/extension of the knee and hip joint also became earlier. From the results of this study, it can be summarized that the practice in the imaginal slalom may have advantage in correcting the body positions as well as improvement of the movement of the body during slalom skiing.}, pages = {21--30}, title = {スキースラロームのバイオメカニクス : ポールの有無による滑走タイミングの変化について}, volume = {20}, year = {1997} }
