In this paper, I explore the origins of Sa Shouzhen’s resources. While comparing Tiandi Ruixiang zhi with other books, I found that the largest portion of Tiandi Ruixiang zhi is based on the lost category book Xiuwendian Yulan (修文殿御覽; Imperial Speculum of the Hall of the Cultivation of Literature) on the Northern Qi dynasty, while the poetry section at the end of every category contains a few poetry quotes that are probably based on the book Yiwen Leiju (藝文類聚; Collection of Literature Arranged by Categories) edited by Ouyang Xun (歐陽詢) in 624. In addition, its zhiguai articles are mainly quoted from Xiuwendian Yulan or other lost category books, but three articles from the famous zhiguai Soushen ji (搜神記; In the Search for the Supernatural), which remain now only in the rearranged version, have been quoted by Sa Shouzhen in Tiandi Ruixiang zhi and clearly show Sa Shouzhen’s personal abridgment of the text. This suggests that Sa Shouzhen may have had access to the original version of Soushen ji and quoted from it.}, pages = {175--187}, title = {《天地瑞祥志》編纂研究:以與其他類書的關係考察爲中心}, volume = {6}, year = {2023} }
