The questionnaires concerning the perceived expectancy and affects, and the achievement motivation for learning in physical education were administered to 330 fifth and sixth grade pupils. The learning behavior and the scores in physical education were obtained by teacher's ratings. The path analyses applied to the data revealed the assumed causal linkages among the factors .
