Municipal office workers were also studied as a reference group. The percentage o f workers with irregular cycles and menstrual discomfort was slightly higher among the nursery school teachers and workers at after-school institutions than among the clerical workers. Subjects with fatigue symptoms lasting until next morning tended to suffer from a disturbance of their work activities caused by menstrual discomfort and gradual aggravation of menstrual pains. Thus. the authors suspect that the aggravation of their menstrual symptoms may be attributable to the work stress. The subjects and the office workers also rated premenstrual DSM-III-R symptoms of late luteal phase dysphoric disorder. The number of the premenstrual symptoms was slightly higher in the subjects than in the office workers. Only one woman, however, met the criteria for the disorder in either the subjects or office workers. The frequency of the menstrual symptoms varied according to the age strata, indicating that control of age is necessary in the study of the symptoms.}, pages = {71--81}, title = {保母、学童保育指導員の月経に関わる愁訴}, volume = {16}, year = {1993} }
