Mean daily physical activities determined by pedometer was about 8300 steps per day during these programs. Many kinds of subjective symptoms were improved in more than fifty percent of subjects but total cholesterol, triglycerides and HDL-cholesterol were not changed after these programs. The obese subjects (BMI>24) showed a significant reduction in their weight. The amount of weight reduction was significantly correlated with initial value of BMI (body mass index). In contrast, the lean subjects (BMI<20) showed a significant increment in their weight.
