The average frequency of their physical training was 2.1 times a week. A quantitative profile of daily physical activities were measured by using a pedometer. The mean number of steps by pedometer was about 9200 steps/day. The mean values of vertical jump, grip strength and standing trunk flexion were not so different from Japanese standard values, respectively. But the mean value of trunk extension over 30 years old was significantly higher than the standard value. The whole level of V02max measured by bicycle ergometer (Combi Aerobike) was comparatively higher than that of ordinary Japanese. The mean V02max. of 20 subjects over 40 years old was increased about 15.8% during 1.5 years after the first measurement.
