We intended to clarify the job stresses characteristic of the age of the children being cared for and their relations to the teachers' symptoms. A total of 223 female nursery school teachers in 44 institutes were subjects of the study and divided into three groups based on the age of their nursery school children. By a questionnaire, perceived job stress factors, complaints of musculoskeletal stresses and symptoms were surveyed. Some stress factors peculiar to a particular group were found, although some stress factors were common among the groups and complaint rates of musculoskeletal and fatigue symptoms were almost similar among the groups. The part of the body where subjects felt musculoskeletal stresses varied with the tasks, but stresses in lower back, right shoulder and arm were more frequent than in other portions. Some job stresses, especially biomechanical ones, were significantly higher in the subjects with neck and/or shoulder pains and lower back pains than in ones without such pains. This suggested that each group had its peculiar and common causes of their musculoskeletal symptoms.}, pages = {83--90}, title = {保母の担当児年齢による作業負担の比較}, volume = {14}, year = {1991} }
