The subjects are 334 boys and 311 girls, who were born and lived in a same area in Nagoya city. Their height measurements at each time are divided into three groups (tall, medium and short) by Percentile Method. We have pursued the process of the changes of their group from birth to 7 years old. Furthermore we have discussed the difference of their growth by their length of the gestational period. 1) The body length at 7 years old is more connected with that at 3 months old rather than at birth. And the same way the body length at 7 years old is more connected with 3 years old rather than at 3 months old. i) In the tall group 44.2% of the boys and 45.1% of the girls, and in the short group 43.2% of the boys and 40.4% of the girls at birth belonged to the same groups at 7 years old. ii) In the tall group 60.2% of the boys and 57.4% of the girls, and in the short group 60.8% of the boys and 53.9% of the girls at 3 months old belonged to the same groups at 7 years old. iii) In the tall group 77.9% or the boys and 77.5% of the girls, and in the short group 75.9% of the boys and 78.8% of the girls at 3 years old belonged to the same groups at 7 years old. iv) The proportion of the boys who belonged to the same groups at four measurements is 21.6% (tall: 9.0%, medium: 3.9%, short: 8.7%). That of the girls is 20.9% (tall: 7.7%, medium: 4.5%, short: 8.7%). v) The proportion of the boys who belonged to the same groups at three measurements (3 months, 3 and 7 years old) is 38.7% (tall: 15.0%, medium: 7.2%, short: 16.5%). That of the girls is 43.4% (tall: 18.3%, medium: 7.1%, short: 18.1%). 2) The longer the gestational period is, the higher the correlation of the heights between at 3 months and 3 years old is. We got the same result between 3 months old and 7 years old.}, pages = {13--20}, title = {発育に関する縦断的研究 : 生下時より学童期に至る長育について}, volume = {10}, year = {1987} }
