Specially, in this study, the main purpose is to examine the effects of SD with a recreational activity on psycho-physiological responses, perceptual motor performance, feelings of sleepiness and fatigue, emotional responses, and mental work. The subjects of this study were 24 adults in total (1st and 2nd experiment). The subjects of the experimental group (N=16) were required 24 hours of SD with a recreational activity, while subjects of the control group (N=8) were not done. All the subjects were tested 6 times during the experimental period. As the results, the following tendencies were detected: (1) In the subjective symptom of fatigue, substantial impairment was observed. (2) No destructive effect of SD was detected on simple reaction time, C.C. No., and pursuit tracking task. (3) The scores of state anxiety increased with SD. (4) Persistence of mental work (calculation) was impaired during SD session. In summary, it appears that a single night of total SD did no impair the human psycho-motor functions, but the SD might have an effect on subjective mood which was measured by self-rating scale of fatigue, sleepiness. and anxiety.}, pages = {63--78}, title = {心理・運動パフォーマンスヘ及ぼす断眠の効果について}, volume = {5}, year = {1982} }
