内容記述 Ventilatory response to carbon dioxide was determined in 12 healthy students by the rebreathing method in the morning (9:00 a.m.) and afternoon (3:00 p.m.) on the separate three days; the subject rebreathed a gas mixture of about 7% CO2 in 02 of 6 liter for 4 min after 30 min rest in a sitting position. Minute ventilation (VE) and alveolar CO2 pressure (PACO2) during rebreathing were continuously recorded with respirometer and an infrared CO2 analyzer, respectively. The relationship between PACO2 and VE are represented by the least-squares method as follows: VE = S (PACO2 - B), where S is the slope of the line expressed as change in ventilation per unit change in PACO2.
