The daily averages of electric field ranging 50 to 140 v/m give a latitude dependence, that they are higher as much as 25% in high latitude than in low latitude, in spite of widely dispersed values. On the other hand, the diurnal course of electric field displays more or less a typical variation in phase with the thunderstorm activity integrated over the entire globe.
